According to reports in The Mirror, Manchester United are among the clubs to be alerted to the fact that Real Madrid are willing to sell forward Gareth Bale for £85m, and Red Devils fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
The Mirror says that the La Liga giants are considering cashing in on the 28-year-old after growing frustrated with his frequent injury problems, and the Welshman is set to be out until 2018 with a thigh issue.
The report adds that while United and Jose Mourinho will join the race to sign the attacker, they could face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, while Real could also ask for David De Gea as part of any deal.
Man United supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the transfer story, and while one said they ‘would take him for below £50m’, another said “I’d rather have Christian Eriksen”.
