Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed that Pedro is likely to be on the sidelines for 10 days following his clash with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
The Spaniard was clattered into by his opponent while trying to reach a long ball during Saturday’s pre-season friendly against the Gunners in Beijing.
Pedro looked dazed after the incident and was substituted with 30 minutes on the clock at the Bird’s Nest.
The Blues went on to win 3-0, but it has come at a cost, with Pedro now unable to train for the next 10 days.
The collision caused multiple fractures to the 29-year-old’s face, and he will now require a mask to make sure that everything heals properly.
As expected, Chelsea fans are not too happy with Ospina, particularly as the contest was a friendly.
Some supporters took to Twitter to express their anger after the news was revealed, while others took a more light-hearted approach.
