Ahead of this weekend’s Championship match against Fulham, Aston Villa announced their team news and there was a familiar line.
Gabriel Agbonlahor, who has been part of the Midlands club since 2005, will miss the match at Villa Park due to a calf injury.
Over the last few seasons, the forward has struggled to stay fit, picking up various thigh and calf problems.
The 31-year-old has dropped down the pecking order anyway under manager Steve Bruce, but he has only made four league appearances, two of which were from the starting lineup.

Despite Agbonlahor’s loyalty to Villa over the years, some fans feel that he has become a weight on the team, while others still consider him a valuable option.
After hearing the latest injury news, which also included the update that Mile Jedinak is edging closer to fitness, the fans took to Twitter.
Some joked that the forward is being saved for the derby against Birmingham City on October 29.
Villa currently sit seventh in the league table having won five, drawn four and lost three.
