Many Glasgow Rangers fans were livid with Ryan Porteous after an incident which occurred during the Gers’ match with Hibernian on Sunday.
The Ibrox outfit continued their unbeaten run courtesy of goals from Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent as they prevailed 2-1 over Hibs. The Gers have not lost in 34 outings in the Premiership (Sky Sports), and are now just four games away from going the whole season without defeat in the league.
Porteous was on the end of the criticism from many Gers supporters following an incident involving Connor Goldson this weekend. The 22-year-old, with whom Rangers and their fans have had problems in the past (Daily Record), threw himself onto the floor when barely touched in the face by Goldson in an attempt to con the referee.
It is fair to say that these Gers fans were far from impressed with the defender’s actions, which one branded as “pathetic”, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their anger.
